The background, of the cover, is an image from my Abstract collection of photos, and is merely a reminder that I don't have a clue who my audience might be. The photograph was taken, to show a friend, what my guitar looks like. It used to be a Fender Jaguar, until I took all switches and knobs out, replaced the pick-ups with Gibson Humbuggers, and replaced the stock machine-heads with Grover's. ..and covered it with leather. My friend Hal Harrower, put the first, exacting, layer on it, and I accented that with another layer, of my own--mainly to put a leather bridge over the musical bridge, so I could rest my picking hand on the instrument. This allows me to play, laying down in bed, without my arm getting tired. My knife-maker, friend, "Trail" Petty is to be thanked, for my deer-antler volume/tone nobs. ..the finishing touch on one of my first art pieces, that has been with me for 35 years, now. Like Joe Cocker, I get by, with a little help, from my friends. Thanks to you all! To Hear a Music Clip, Click Here [Internet Explorer browsers only, at the moment--Sorry!] |
